The other reason
I started klar.
The story I usually tell is the one above. I'm an audiologist. I treat hearing damage every week. That part is true.
But there's another reason that came first.
For most of my adult life, the world has felt louder than it should. I have tinnitus. I have sound sensitivity. A constant low-level overwhelm that doesn't show up on any test but that you carry from morning to night.
For years I thought it was just how I was wired. But it costs you. In ways you don't fully see until something breaks.
A few years ago, something did.
In the rebuilding, klar started taking shape. Not as a business idea. As a way to make meaning out of what I knew.
So when I designed klar, I designed it for people like me, too. For the ones whose nervous system is genuinely overstimulated by everyday noise. For the ones who've been told it's "all in their head."
klar is the earplug I made because I needed it.
The clinic part is true. This part is too.
