klar sound balance
Bought these as I am always on the lookout to the latest in hearing protection. Klar has a premium build feel. Eartips are soft allowing flexing to the hearing canal.

klar sound balance
Started wearing them a few gigs ago, would never go back to my old earplugs, even the office is a different environment!
SNR (Single Number Rating) is the European measure of how much an earplug reduces noise, in decibels. At 19 dB, klar sound balance applies a lighter, even reduction tuned for fidelity rather than maximum isolation — enough to bring a loud event down to a safer level while keeping the music full and natural. We list the US equivalent (NRR 11) too. For live music, lighter and flatter is the point: it protects your hearing without flattening the sound.
It stays natural. Conventional earplugs muffle and dull because they cut the high frequencies hardest. klar sound balance uses a flat, linear filter that lowers volume evenly across the full frequency range, so music and voices stay clear and true — just quieter and safer.
Both are made for live events. sound balance (SNR 19) is tuned for fidelity — the right choice when you want the full sound experience at a safer volume. sound protect (SNR 22) brings high sound-pressure levels down further, roughly halving the sound energy reaching your ears, for the loudest sets and front-row volume where protection comes first.
Yes. They’re made to last a full night of live sound, with a comfortable, sustained-wear shape and multiple ear-tip sizes for a secure fit. Reduced listening fatigue means you can keep them in all night.
Our attenuation figures come from an independent acoustic facility, not our own marketing. DEC Delft is a specialist acoustic test centre, and the flat attenuation curve behind sound balance is lab-confirmed there. Combined with audiologist-led development, it’s how we back the fidelity claim with evidence.
Every order is covered by 120-day hassle-free returns and a 2-year warranty, with free shipping on orders over €50. Fit and feel are personal, so if your pair isn’t right, send it back. If it’s a comfort or seal issue, try a different ear-tip size first — that solves it for most people.
